QC Welding Supervisor

Organizational entity: North Oil Company (NOC) / Major Projects JOB TITLE Title: Ruya WHP Jacket QC Welding Supervisor POSITION IN ORGANIZATION Manager: HSEQ Manager Functional hierarchy: RUYA - Batch 1 - EPCICI - WHP Jacket QC Superintendent ACCOUNTABILITIES The job holder is accountable for the following activities during RUYA - Batch 1 EPCICII - WHP Jacket Project execution: To ensure that Contractor is following the technical requirements for material, welding, dimensional and testing activities To perform welding inspection as per defined Quality Control plan To implement the NOC Technical Referential and applicable local and international codes Whilst having a direct hierarchical link with WHP Jacket QC Superintendent, the WHP Jacket QC Welding Supervisor will be integrated into EPCICII Package, reporting to EPCICI1 Company Site Rep on a day to day basis JOB DIMENSIONS The Al Shaheen field development involves several parallel projects including wellhead platforms, a riser platform, and a central processing platform. The supervisor is responsible for quality control activities linked to material, equipment, traceability, welding, testing, and dimensional control. Company staff managed: N/A ACTIVITIES Promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and HSE procedures Carry out work in compliance with COMPANY values and policies, relevant laws and regulations Treat all information with confidentiality Witness inspection activities based on the Quality Control Plan (ITP) Perform all COMPANY quality inspections related to welding activity Ensure Contractor's personnel are qualified for assigned tasks Ensure material traceability system is maintained throughout fabrication Review and endorse Contractor quality inspections related to welding and material traceability Follow-up Construction Contractor activities Monitor welding consumables management Witness welding procedures qualification, welder ability qualifications, and production tests Participate in issuance and resolution of Non-Conformance reports Review fabrication records books CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT Major Projects involve development of new offshore platforms with complex international interfaces WHP Jacket QC Welding Supervisor will be based in EPC Contractor's premises in China during EPC execution Could be relocated to Doha during Offshore Hook-up campaigns Possibility of multiple worldwide missions and relocations for offshore installation campaigns in Qatar QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Education: HND/BTS level or COMPANY approved equivalent in engineering discipline Certifications: Welding certified to AWS CWI, CSWIP Grade 3.2 or EWIP/IWIP-C or COMPANY approved equivalent Experience: 10 years of professional experience 5 years of experience within project Construction experience on wellhead platforms, topsides, structures, piping, and pressure vessels Knowledge of applicable codes (AWS, ISO, API, ASTM, ASME) Construction yard experience required Good knowledge of NOC Standards and International codes Comprehensive knowledge in welding, material and NDE Skills: Good leadership and communication skills Ability to work in complex and multicultural environments Computer proficiency (word processing, database management, spreadsheets, email) English mandatory HS OPITO and T-BOSIET trainings required
